After days of relentless rain and winds fueled by a persistent atmospheric river, much of California is now seeing a brief break. However, the state isn’t out of the woods just yet, with more rain and potential flooding forecast in the coming days.

An atmospheric river that blew into the Bay Area on Wednesday has dropped several inches of rain on the North Bay and is expected to spread further south through the region later this week, according to the National Weather Service.

The powerful atmospheric river running through the North Bay Wednesday has caused fallen debris, minor flooding and rock slides and widespread power outages so far but the National Weather Service said the region won’t see a break just yet.
