The stock market regained its momentum in the last trading session of the week, closing notably higher after a drastic collapse on Thursday despite continued foreign investors selling woes. The BSE Sensex gained 760 points 0.

Bharti Airtel surged 3.82 per cent to Rs 1,620. Sun Pharma advanced 2.87 per cent to Rs 1,784 while Mahindra & Mahindra added 2.32 per cent to Rs 2,963 apiece. Larsen & Toubro, RIL and JSW Steel gained up to 2 per cent.

The S P BSE Sensex surged 663 points to reach 79,702.09 by 10:33 am, while the NSE Nifty50 climbed 154.60 points to trade at 24,084.95.
