Israel has attacked and destroyed infrastructure at a border crossing between Syria and Lebanon being used to provide weapons to the militant group Hezbollah, Israeli officials confirmed Saturday.

The Israeli military said Saturday it had launched a "strike on military infrastructure" at the Syria-Lebanon border. The nation is also warning displaced Lebanese residents from returning south just three days into a ceasefire agreement with the nation.

As the truce appeared to largely hold, a deal appeared far away in Gaza, where an Israeli strike killed dozens, according to a rescue group.

The Israel Defense Forces continued its intense airstrike and ground campaigns in Gaza and in Lebanon, with Israeli attacks on targets nationwide including in the capital Beirut. The strikes continue despite a cease-fire push fronted by President Joe Biden's White House as it prepares to hand power to President-elect Donald Trump.

The IDF said it conducted a strike on military infrastructure sites near the border crossings between Lebanon and Syria, calling it a response to cease-fire violations.
