Ohio's Republican governor, Mike DeWine, signed a bill Wednesday banning transgender K-12 students from using school bathrooms consistent with their transgender identity. They must only use bathrooms and locker rooms that align with their cisgender identity assigned at birth.

A ban on transgender students from kindergarten through college using multiperson bathrooms that fit their gender identities has become law in Ohio.
